Prior to you taking delivery, this car will be subject to a 103 Point Pre-Delivery Inspection in the following areas:

• Road Test / Interior Checks
  • Check Cruise Control on road test (If applicable) on road test
  • Check operation of handbrake / electric parking brake
  • Check operation of horn
  • Check start / stop operation
  • Check electric mirror operation
  • Check operation of interior and exterior lights
  • Check operation of front washers inc headlamp washers if applicable
  • Check operation of rear washer
  • Check fuel filler cap operates correctly
  • Check operation of central locking
  • Check windscreen condition
  • Check all wiper blades
  • Check condition / operation of seatbelts and mountings
  • Check security of seat mountings & seat adjustment mechanism
  • Check all pedals operate correctly
  • Check operation of electric tailgate if applicable
  • Check parking sensors and parking cameras operating correctly
  • Check convertible roof operates correctly (If applicable)
  • Check sunroof operates correctly (if applicable)
  • Check panoramic roof blind operates correctly (if applicable)
  • Check radio / touch screen operates correctly
  • Check clear down the previous keepers Bluetooth + Nav History
  • Check for evidence of water ingress and report if applicable
  • Check interior heating system operates correctly + A/C is cold
  • Check electric windows operate correctly
  • Check operation of all dash buttons are working correctly
  • Check heated seats operate correctly (if applicable)
  • Check Gauges operate properly + Dash display
  • Check battery & starter motor, start engine with ease from cold & hot?
• Engine, Cooling & Fluid Levels
  • Check brake fluid level / top up if required
  • Check coolant level & top up if required / check for leaks
  • Check engine oil level & top up if required
  • Check Adblue & top up if required (if applicable)
  • Check washer fluid level & top up if required
  • Check coolant / antifreeze level and report signs of visual contamination
  • Check for evidence of abnormal noises while engine running
  • Check AUX belt condition
  • Check radiator condition / pipework free from damage or excess corrosion
  • Check for signs of oil leaks also at rear of engine
  • Check intercooler condition / pipework (if applicable)
  • Check oil cooler condition and free from excessive corrosion
  • Check to ensure no excessive visual emissions from exhaust
  • Check no management lights are illuminated on test drive or when engine idling
  • Engine cooling fan operates at appropriate temperature
  • Check engine mountings for security and condition
  • Check wiring pipes, hoses, oil & fuel lines for routing: free from damage, chafing and leaks (where visible)
  • Check exhaust condition / report any gas leaks / check clamps & mounting are secure
  • Check bonnet stay and bonnet catch release
  • Check catalytic converter
  • Check underbody for excess corrosion & ensure the chassis is free from extensive structural repairs
• Battery Checks
  • Check vehicle charging system for minimum output
  • Carry out battery test and ensure terminals are secure and free from corrosion
  • Battery health check (notify Avalon if the life of battery is less than 60%)
  • Full charge of battery if life less than 60% + Retest after charge
  • Visual check of battery condition
• Steering & Transmission
  • Check power steering operating correctly
  • Check tie rod ends, CV joints, drive shaft & steering rack including boots / covers
  • Check gearbox for fluid leaks (Manual & Automatic)
  • Check operation of transmission
  • Check operation of clutch & is bite point acceptable?
  • Check operation of steering
  • Check power steering operation and fluid level (Top up if required)
  • Ensure transmission / driveshaft is secure and free from excessive play
• Suspension Checks
  • Check suspension (Inc mounting points, check for leaks & general operation front and rear)
  • Check wheel bearings both front and rear if applicable
  • Check for play in suspension arms
• Brake Checks
  • Front brake pad requirement’s: min thickness of 5mm or 3mm from wear indicator
  • Rear brake pad requirement’s: min thickness of 4mm or 3mm from wear indicator
  • Visual inspection of brake discs and pads (Front and rear) remove rear drums if applicable.
  • Brake discs (ALL) visual check and report
  • Check operation of ABS
  • Check Alloy wheels for cracks / damage (Buckled?)
• Tyres, Spare Wheel & Locking Wheel Nut Checks
  • Tread depth checks, at least 75% of every tyre (Inc spare) must have a minimum tread depth of 2mm depth
  • Check all tyre pressures and reset tyre pressure warning lights
  • Check tyre inflation kit if applicable (tyre inflation canister should be in date)
  • Check all tyre side wall condition for any bulges or cuts
• Final Checks / Road Test
  • Slacken and re-torque all wheel bolts
  • Fit Avalon number plates front and rear
  • Carry out road test
  • Check for visual fluid leaks after road test
